Racking storage systems are available in a wide variety of formats, they are most commonly erected in industrial business premises i.e. warehousing, distribution or manufacturing, but can also be frequently used at the ‘back’ of shops or in larger retail outlets.

Wide aisle pallet racking used with conventional lift trucks for a variety of stored products, irrespective of size or weight, allowing instant access to all the pallets.- Narrow aisle pallet racking utilises the building height for additional storage capacity of uniformly sized loads. Used with bespoke lift trucks
- Double deep pallet racking used with bespoke lift trucks having extending forks being able to load one pallet behind another, normally the pallets have the same type of products.
- Drive in racking offers the most efficient use of floor space with first in - last out stock rotation. Drive through racking is as drive in but enables first in – first out stock rotation. Well suited for frozen or chilled applications. With either drive in or drive through pallets lanes have to be emptied at each level.
- Push back racking - first in - last out stock rotation with the added advantage of being able to load/unload individual levels from one pick face. Pallet live racking – first in - first out, pallets are loaded from the rear of the lane and unloaded from the front face, again individual levels can be loaded/unload.
- Cantilever racking ideal for long, heavy, awkward shaped items i.e. tubes, structural sections, timber
